Wo Desh Ki Beti….!

Thank you Sunil, I’ll read it when I get enough time to read the
devnagri script – unfortunately I am out of touch reading the script.

Maybe you should transcribe it into english script (maintaining the poem
in hindi) to make it easier for people like me to read it.

    Dear Dr. Verma,

You have rightly described through your poem the way females are treated in a country where they were worshiped in
ancient times. The sacrifice of Damini has awakened the whole of India,
especially the youth of India. I also paid my homage in my article on

    Dear Dr Verma,

Very heartening! You have rightly described the pain and
anguish in your poem. Its now time to take a pledge to pressurize the
central govt to enact law that could award severest
punishment for such inhuman act. All such cases should
be tried by fast track courts and wide publicity be given
    to judgements.

    Sincerely,

  17. Dr. E. Rama Reddy says:

    Dear Dr. Verma ji
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are with your thoughts in paying our respects to Damini. As Indians, we all should feel ashamed that such brutal incidences are still happening in different parts of our country. How are we forgetting the basic values in our life? Women give birth to men and raise them with all their love and men are destroying the very women in our country. Oh GOD give us better sense to treat the women with respect and give them the space they deserve in our society. We are rapidly losing the human values and there is need to stress and inculcate social values, civic sense and respect to the fellow beings from childhood.

  18. Really heart touched lines from pure heart. these line may fill the responsibility in all indian heart to behave as God made us. calm claen pure.
